Ghosts, Portals, and Time Travelers (8/8-9/1)
Why do ghosts linger in haunted houses? Could it be they have a story to tell? This workshop will demonstrate how writers can learn about the past by encountering ghosts in unexpected places. Workshop participants will select and research a historical era before creating a profile for a contemporary character to star in their story. Working independently and with a partner, students will write dialogue, recreate historical settings, and write their own spooky story. Snacks will be provided, but students should bring a bag lunch.
